BACKGROUND

With an experienced and dedicated team of leasing and advisory experts, having the support of leading financial management and property software is core to Sheffield’s approach to protecting their clients’ investments.

After previous experience working with Loci Solutions, Jason turned to us for help when he joined Sheffield to set up their Asset Management division.

THE PROJECT

As a CPA with a successful career working at some of the biggest commercial real estate businesses in Australia, Jason says that one of the main reasons he joined Sheffield was to focus on client service delivery and asset management solutions for each client’s portfolio.

After using customised MRI solutions previously, Jason knew what the software was capable of and opted for MRI’s out-of-box solution. Loci’s expert knowledge and local industry experience played an important role in helping Sheffield get the most out of the off-the-shelf solution.

“With Loci’s support we set up MRI from scratch. Although very technical, MRI’s off-the-shelf solution is not process-driven in terms of what a property manager would expect. I wanted manuals, reports and other overlay systems beyond the basic MRI offering and knew that Loci could help us develop our solutions offering to clients,” Jason said.

LOCI’S ROLE

Sheffield initially engaged Loci to support the set-up of their MRI Software, but soon became one of our first out-sourced processing clients.

With a tight timeline to get the business up-and-running and limited internal resources to support the project, Loci worked as an extension of Jason’s internal team to get the job done.

“Loci are experts in the product, so I didn’t have to worry about how to get the most out of it. Loci were given deliverables and timelines to meet in providing the system solutions so that we could get on with opening the business and transitioning new clients onboard,” Jason said.

After our initial engagement to support the rollout of MRI, Jason has also engaged Loci Solutions to provide ongoing support to bolster his internal resources on the lease administration side of the business.

THE SOLUTION

Sheffield have engaged Loci’s support across the full range of our services ranging from strategic advice to implementation, customisation and outsourced support. Our scope of work included:  

  • Strategic advice on the implementation of MRI’s off-the-shelf software solution
  • Initial entry of master data set-up, lease information and opening balances
  • Provision of Loci’s enhanced reporting suite

 

RESULTS

To date, Loci’s support has helped Sheffield: 

  • Configure the MRI PMX Platform for onboarding and management of clients.
  • Establish a knowledgeable processing team
  • Grow their portfolio with the scalable model

ONGOING OUTSOURCING

Sheffield and Loci’s Outsourced Services partnership continues long after their 2019 implementation of MRI.

Outsourced Services continue to provide expert processing on Sheffield portfolio’s day to day transaction into 2022.

Processing includes receipting, lease admin, AP data entry, payment runs, bank reconciliations and EOM reports.

This has allowed Sheffield to scale up their portfolio without needing to increase admin head count in their office.

Sheffield’s impact in the WA property market and stellar internal systems, recently resulted in them being acquired by Cushman Wakefield  – a fabulous result for our long term client.

We are very proud to have supported Sheffield while they achieved exponential growth and Jason will happily provide a reference for Loci’s service.
