Loci grew out of the desire of Nikki Steadman and Gwen Dagg to enhance the customer experience and system utilisation of businesses within the property industry and was established in 2007.
Our team of experienced professionals, each with their own unique skill set, are focused on providing exceptional customer service. Meet the Loci team!
Nikki Steadman, CEO and co-founder of Loci Solutions, brings over 20 years of real estate industry experience to her role.
Building on the foundation of her career in real estate, Nikki has been instrumental in identifying property technology gaps and bringing new technology trends to the Australian market. Her career focus has been to create measurable results with integrity.
In 2003, after working with real estate technology vendors MRI and Timberline, Nikki launched her first business, Steadman Consulting. This niche consultancy grew out of her passion for the industry, her innovative approach to business process solutions, and her commitment to her clients’ success.
Nikki actively keeps a pulse on industry best practice and new technology trends. She and co-owner, Gwen Dagg, have created strategic technology partnerships with global leaders in an effort to continually add value to their clients and to the market.
As part of Loci’s vision to positively engage with local communities, Nikki also materially participates in the Doggie Rescue leadership team specialising in animal adoptions and foster care programs.
Gwen Dagg brings a wealth of vision and practical expertise from her IT career to the business, including over 15 years of real estate technology solutions experience.
Under her direction, Loci have developed their trademark approach to real estate IT solutions design and delivery: Focus, Innovate and Deliver value in everything we do.
She has been a highly respected and valued property technology resource to leading Australian real estate companies over the last decade.
Prior to forming Loci, Gwen served in various property IT roles creating technology strategies, developing significant applications, and analysing business process improvements.
She takes a holistic view of property project management, and believes that "best technology and best practice" is about finding the most relevant solution for each individual client.
Gwen is passionate about "out of the box" problem solving and enjoys translating "can't be done" requirements into practical solutions.
Her personal innovation is client focused and market driven, in projects like e-solutions and streamlining benchmark/trend reporting.
Gary Nicklin, a senior member of our technical team, has a long history working for property technology vendors in the real estate sector.
Many of you may remember Gary from his days at MRI. Gary joined the MRI Sydney team in 2009 after spending nine years with the MRI EMEA team, based out of London.
With over 11 years' experience with the MRI product, and also a programming background, Gary is perfectly placed to integrate with Loci to strengthen the offering of our ERP neutral solutions to the market.
Gary brings a wealth of experience to Loci, and is a key player in our integration projects, having migrated data from and to multiple systems.
He is also a budding rockstar! Gary plays a mean guitar and is also a fantastic singer, specialising in British rock. You will find him 'gigging' at every opportunity.
Nicola specialises in client customisations in all aspects of design, build and delivery. Her career in the industry spans more than 12 years, beginning with industry leader, Savills.
Over her 10 year tenure there, Nicola was responsible for database analysis, web design and customisation development.
She joined Loci in 2009, bringing extensive retail industry and property IT experience to the development team. Nicola is passionate about optimising performance and resolving complex design issues.
Her attention to detail and ability to translate complex requirements into practical, cost-effective solutions makes her a highly respected resource.
Claire Graham is a highly experienced real estate data and technology specialist with over 16 years in the industry. Notably, she has worked for DTZ, a global real estate professional services company in the UK, Europe and Asia-Pacific regions. She joined Loci in early 2013, having relocated from London to Australia.
Claire has worked on business transformation projects including Business Process Re-engineering and lease data entry workflows.
She has an in-depth understanding of commercial property project management business processes and related specific technology requirements. In addition, she has expertise in the day-to-day management of business critical software platforms with 1,000+ user bases.
Since Claire has worked in a number of markets, including Australia, the UK, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary and Ireland, she has been involved in the development and implementation of property technology in many different countries.
She is also a Prince2 Practitioner and has been involved in helping the industry drive forward best practice through involvement in OSCRE.
Sally-ann brings over a decade of experience in Asset and Property Management with roles ranging from MRI System Accountant to Property Management Consultant.
As a MBA and Accounting Graduate, she is focused on maximising MRI’s potential by helping clients get the most out of MRI standard functionality.
She specialises in writing user documents based on the businesses’ needs and providing staff training. She also has successfully led businesses through Trust, Owners Corporation and Bank Audits.
With an extensive career in Accounting and Property, Annette brings a wealth of expertise to the Loci team and our clients.
Annette’s property experience includes system implementations, system administration, user training, management of trust accounting teams and process improvements.
Outside of property, Annette has worked in many industries including time spent teaching accounting subjects at a private business college.
Prior to joining Loci, Annette has been managing her own bookkeeping business since 2003 and is an MYOB Certified Consultant as well as a Registered BAS Agent. She specialises in providing accounting support to small businesses.
Claire has over 10 years’ experience in Property Trust Accounting and Administration. In her previous role, she successfully led a team and specialised in managing body corporate trust accounts.
She holds a Bachelor of Business degree, majoring in Accounting and is also bilingual in English and Mandarin.
Away from the office, Claire enjoys travelling and spending any opportunity she can to bake.
Kerry originally joined the Loci team as an Administration Assistant. With over eight years’ experience in the hospitality industry, Kerry has extensive experience in customer excellence and a thorough understanding of hospitality management. Her role prior to Loci was as a sales coordinator in a five star hotel.
Kerry's natural affinity and passion for property accounting, saw her move into a consulting role with us within her first 12 months. She now specialises in implementation and support of the MRI AP Automation solution, NexusPayables, and the myBuildings application.
Emma's career in property started over 13 years ago at St Vincent de Paul where she was instrumental in the procurement, implementation and data migration to a new property technology platform. She has also held roles project managing and implementing property software solutions at Gwynvill Properties and Sydney Trains as well as a Portfolio Coordinator position at CBRE.
More recently Emma has worked in EMEA on client design requirements and implementation of the Qube Global Software solution.
She brings her international experience and strong business analysis skills to Loci.
Maria de Guia
Maria joined us in February 2018, after relocating back to Australia from Hong Kong, where she spent the prior 15 years.
For 12 of those years Maria was an Associate Director & member of the IT Department at Savills Hong Kong for the Asia region. Her role encompassed leading the Training and Support team for all in-house developed systems, System Administrator duties on both the corporate and property management platforms, and systems implementation, training and support for regional offices in Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Maria is also an ex work colleague of many of the Loci team, working from 1997 to 2001 as a Trust Account Team Leader for Savills in Australia.
We welcome her breadth of experience in the APAC market.
